After reading the presentation from different classmates, I have made some comments that reflect my opinion on their topic, and the classmate I chose to make the comments to them were ruby Philpott, Jonathan Pica and Qin Rui Li. In this article, I would talk about what are their beta presentation and my feedback of their presentation briefly and talk about my reflection of my feedbacks.

The presentation of Ruby Philpott is about the future of music, and basically is about the form of music, what kind of music would be popular, how to make new music, what would happen to the music industry and in her video, she also talk about her process of her DA, the obstacle she faced and how she solved it etc .

The presentation of Jonathan Pica, talks about the future of logo, and the logo show the trend of future might be , and in his presentation he shown the process of himself making different brand logos might look like in the future.

The presentation of Qin Rui Li, is about the future of meat, the evolution of meat in different years, and what she would do in the future, and what duifficulties she faced in the process of making DA.

The first reflection I would like to reflect on would be I should observe more on the timing of the presentation, I did not use the perspective of a presenter, that much, so the advice I have made may not that easy to achieve because the presenter need to focus at many aspects, like the timing, the content, make a bridge to connect the first presentation and the last presentation. Then I would talk about the reflection of my feedback about the presentation separately.

The first feedback I would like to reflect on the feedback of Johnathan’s presentation, I should look at the others reflection first as the feedback of others contain some important idea and reading it before giving another feedback could help avoid talking the same stuffs as others, at first I focus at the logo a bit more, but did not really care about the meaning behind the logo, this is not that good for a feedback.

The second feedback I would like to reflect on the feedback of Qin Rui Li’s presentation, in the feedback , my advices are not enough , but I pointed out a lot of problem that I think of ,but I did not give solutions to her and did not do a lot compliment to her so in the perspective of Qin, she might not feel like this feedback is attractive and helpful to her.

The third feedback I would like to talk about is Ruby’s presentation, this one I talked about the pros and cons of her presentation, but I did not write that much in the feedback, as I did not know how to present some of my thoughts and I may not understand that well, I might need to spent more time before sending the feedback to her.    

In this Beta presentation, I changed my DA a bit, I start to focus on the future of convenience of human lifestyle, not talking about the future of communication, or interpersonal relationship, because of the feedbacks from different people, I know that I need to narrow my topic, and talk more about my DA, my DA would be a video presentation, which talks about the thoughts of my DA and analysis why and how I come up with all these assumptions, I would try to discover more in my DA’s topic and research and present it to others, in the beta presentation, it told others which stage I am in, and how would I do in the final assignment, and introduce it to others.

In this article, I would review on the comments that I have made in the pitch presentation of different bcm325 students, I would briefly talk about my overview of the three pitch presentations, and talk about what I could have done to improve my comment, and how I would do to my pitch after looking that.

In the first pitch that I have commented on is the phoenix that is civilization by Lachlan Vivers his pitch is about in history ,empires rise and grow only to decay some 250 years later, just like the changing of the seasons, which means future could be estimated as there is always a pattern, I talked about his video looks good and I asked him to present the work more specific, as I don’t know how the cycle would work, and ask him to combine the circle and how is the future looks like in his mind, when I review on the comment, I said he is not specific seems to be not clear enough, I should give him some guides and I forgot to tell him he could explore in another way, which is would the future really able to estimate? As there may have some different and new factors in the future would these factor change the future to what he estimate or would it changed to a total new path. And there are some grammar errors on my writing.

The second pitch that I have commented on is the pitch made by Liam Walker, is about the automation of the creative industry, it said in future the A.I would create better creations than us, I commented on his question, ‘the potential effects automation could have on the future of the creative industry’, as he did not answered the question directly, and he is analyzing a lot, so I suggested him he could make some assumptions of what would happen in different periods, and how future look like in his mind, I think I should not ask how future look like in his mind this questions as I think I have asked this question more than once, and some of my suggestions is about what he might do in the other project, but might not about what he should do in this presentation, I should talk more specific about the presentation, his pitch. But this pitch helps me think of my own D.A, as automation is somehow my theme, the future of convenience ,I should talk more about the planning of my assignment and what I would face during the process.

The third pitch is coral reef rescue by Amanda tait, it explore about 3d printing and how it rescue coral reef, in this work my comment I talk about the 3d printing not only could rescue, but also may damage the coral rescue, and said her topic is too specific and ask her to do better in the video, I think I should have provide her some link that could help her and can speak in a more positive way.

For my D.A I would focus on the future of convenience, and figure out a way to present in other assignment and try to look from another angle, and try to find some references that could support my pitch.   

As I did not engage that much in twitter in previous classes, based on some academic reasons, so I could not do any reflections on the first part of the assignment, as I did not used twitter in the live twitter session, so the result of myself talking about me doing the twitter must be poor and nothing to say. So in this part of the assessment, I would like to talk about a movie I watched during the class, which is blade runner, I will talk about this movie what is it about and how it relates to the future, how it inspires me to think of the future, what is the message behind the movie.

Blade runner this movie, its background is about in the future, there have a new robot evolution which are called replicants, they look the same like human , but their ability are way more stronger than human and all these robots are created for exploring new spaces for colonization and they were treated badly and could not stay in the earth, when they did not obey the law, they would kill by the special police squads called blade runner, this story is about the revenge of the replicants and the blade runner try to eliminate them as those replicants did not obey the laws made by human.

In blade runner, this movie is talking about the A.I technology, the author think that if this technology mature, there would have a big risk that human would not be able to control A.I this power , as it might become some power that could overcome us, I agree with his point of view, and I put his idea into my DA, as I think actually every technology could be harmful to human beings, depends on the way you used it, take car and nuclear power as an example, nuclear power could be an energy source which could maintain the whole city or even the whole world, but it could be also really dangerous if we used it in a wrong way, it could become a nuclear weapon, that could damage the earth. So in my D.A , I was talking about the technology that could make us convenient a lot, but if we used it incorrectly, which may cause a lot of problems, and in the movie, the background or the environment seems to me is a bit damaged compared to the environment we are staying in right now, I think what the director was thinking is about the environment would be polluted badly in the future, and this is somehow related the global warming or other factors that we are having nowadays, and I think he is trying to make the audiences to think deeply and start to protect the environment and try not to make it look as bad as the movies look in the future, and there is also one thing I have noticed in the movie, which is in the movie, there is a lot of Asian, and Chinese word appears in different parts of the story, I am not sure what is this actually means, but to me, my understanding would be about the power and influence of Asian are increasing nowadays and this trend would continue in the future, as in our environment we could see this is really happening around us which makes me believed what my understanding is correct. This movie was made in 1960s ,but a lot of assumptions seems to be pretty accurate to me, so I was impressed by this movie as it could address a lot of social problems before those problems really appear. In my da I was inspired by this movie, instead of just assuming what would happen in the future, I choose to talk about something that I am afraid of seeing it happens in front of us and hope by talking all these stuffs could aware the audiences.
